Convert between units across eight categories — length, weight, temperature, volume, area, speed, data, and time. Pick a category, choose the units to convert from and to, and the result updates instantly. It handles metric and imperial units and the special math for temperature. Everything runs in your browser.
How to use
- Choose a category such as Length or Temperature.
- Select the From and To units and enter a value.
- Read or copy the converted result; use Swap to reverse.
How it works
Most units convert through a common base unit for their category — for example every length is expressed in meters, then scaled to the target unit. This keeps conversions consistent and accurate. Temperature is handled separately because Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin don't share a simple multiplier; values are converted via Celsius using the proper formulas.
Features
Eight categories
Length, weight, temperature, volume, area, speed, data and time.
Accurate factors
Uses precise conversion factors and proper temperature formulas.
Swap & copy
Reverse the direction with one click and copy the result.
Private & instant
All conversions run in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
When to use it
Cooking
Convert cups, milliliters, ounces and grams for recipes.
Travel
Switch between miles and kilometers, or °F and °C.
School & work
Convert units for homework, science, and engineering.
Tech
Convert data sizes between KB, MB, GB and their binary forms.
Notes
- Length, weight and others convert through a shared base unit.
- Temperature uses exact formulas, not a single multiplier.
- Data offers both decimal (KB) and binary (KiB) units.
- All calculations run on your device; nothing is uploaded.
FAQ
- Which categories are supported?
- Length, weight, temperature, volume, area, speed, data, and time, each with common metric and imperial units.
- How is temperature converted?
- Values pass through Celsius using the standard formulas, so Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin all convert correctly.
- What's the difference between KB and KiB?
- KB is decimal (1000 bytes) while KiB is binary (1024 bytes). Both are offered under Data.
- How precise are the results?
- Results use precise factors and are shown to several significant figures, rounded for readability.
- Is my data uploaded?
- No. Every conversion runs in your browser and nothing leaves your device.
