Why merging on your device matters

Contracts, invoices and scanned documents are often private. Many online PDF mergers upload your files to their servers. This tool does everything locally in your browser with the open-source pdf-lib library, so your documents are never sent anywhere.

  • Nothing is uploaded — your files stay in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. The merge happens entirely in your browser using the pdf-lib library. Your files never leave your device.
Can I change the order of the files?
Yes. Use the up and down arrows next to each file to arrange them, and the pages are combined in that exact order.
What about password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs can't be read in the browser, so they're flagged and excluded from the merge. Remove the password first, then add them again.
Will the quality or content change?
No. The pages are copied as-is into a new document, so text, images and layout are preserved.
Is there a file size or count limit?
There's no fixed limit, but everything runs on your device, so very large files depend on your available memory. Each file can be up to 100 MB.
