Hide faces, names, addresses or any sensitive part of an image with a mosaic or blur. Just drag a box over the area and apply — repeat for as many spots as you need, then download the result. Everything happens in your browser, so your photo never leaves your device.
How to use
- Choose an image from your device.
- Drag a rectangle over the area you want to hide.
- Pick mosaic or blur and a strength, then press Apply.
- Repeat for other areas and download the PNG.
How it works
The area you select is processed on a canvas. Mosaic replaces each small block of pixels with their average color, producing the familiar pixelated look. Blur softens the region instead. Because the pixels themselves are changed and you save a new image, the hidden content cannot be recovered from the result.
Features
Drag to select
Pick exactly the area to hide by dragging a rectangle over it.
Mosaic or blur
Choose a blocky mosaic or a soft blur depending on the look you want.
Adjustable strength
Turn the strength up for heavier censoring that is harder to read.
Multiple areas
Apply to as many regions as you like before downloading.
Fully private
Images are processed in your browser and never uploaded anywhere.
When to use it
Hide faces
Cover the faces of bystanders before posting a photo online.
Addresses & plates
Mosaic house numbers, license plates or signs that reveal a location.
Chat screenshots
Blur names, avatars or phone numbers in screenshots before sharing.
Documents
Censor sensitive fields in a scanned form or receipt.
Notes
- All processing runs on your device; nothing is uploaded.
- Save the PNG so the censoring is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Use a strong mosaic for text so it cannot be read back.
- This changes pixels only; remove photo metadata separately if needed.
FAQ
- Can the blurred area be recovered?
- No. The pixels are permanently changed and you download a new image, so the hidden content cannot be restored from the result. Use a strong setting for text.
- Does it detect faces automatically?
- No. You select the areas to hide by dragging, which gives you full control over exactly what is covered.
- Can I hide several areas?
- Yes. Apply the effect to one region, then drag and apply again for as many areas as you need before downloading.
- Will it reduce image quality?
- Only the areas you select are changed; the rest of the image stays the same. The download is a PNG.
- Is my photo uploaded?
- No. The image is processed entirely in your browser and never leaves your device.
